1、fit to be the right shape and size for sb/sth (形状和尺寸)适合，合身

（1）I tried the dress on but it didn't fit well.

（2）The key doesn't fit the lock.

2、suit especially of clothes, colours, etc to make you look attractive 特别是服装、颜色等相配、合身

i don't think that coat really suits you.

所以，前者，侧重于形状和尺寸，物理上的合适；后者，是感觉上的合适。
